Springtime News Update

There have been a few things going on:

In January 2005, Neal scored his first short film called "In Mind" for Manitoba filmmakers Reil Munro & Jodie Stefanec. The dark, winter-themed film, starring local actor Geoff Trubiak, was submitted for the 2005 NSI Film Exchange. Featured on the soundtrack was a alternate version of Neal's instrumental piece "Friction Loss"

April 2005 saw the Juno Awards come to Winnipeg and, during that weekend, Neal had the honour of performing at the 2005 BREWno Awards. The BREWno is a new award that recognizes creative artists and beautiful music - not album sales and marketing ploys. It's an award that emphasises harmony and fosters collaboration rather than harbour competition. Being his first-ever live performance on keys, he débuted his Wurlitzer-inspired song called "Given Up On Waiting".

Most recently, Neal sat down at his computer and recorded a simple, organ-inspired pop demo called "Diapason". The demo version of the song is available for download and comments on the message board. Neal has also agreed to co-write with several local artists, bands and producers over the summer - as well as shows in Winnipeg, Toronto and western-Canada. Stay tuned for updates!!
